Arthur Jones, a member of the Toronto Police Cricket Club organized a game on 8/8/09, known as The Arthur Jones 11 Game.
This game consists of eleven cricketers from various teams, who played against Malvern at Scarborough College (Malvern’s Cricket Home Ground).
David Nicholls, one of Malvern great cricketers was batting at his best, hitting 4’s and 6’s, when the game was interrupted by rain. This continued for the balance of the evening, ending what could’ve been a potential win for Malvern.
The game was officially rained out, with Arthur Jones 11 – 189 Runs and Malvern with 53 Runs/1 wicket/13 over’s.
The remaining of the evening was spent having a meal and a friendly game of dominoes.
